This is a personal finance and expense tracking application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Service.
We collect the information you provide directly: your email address, username, and password (stored hashed) when you register; financial data you enter such as mileage logs, time entries, receipts, and expenses; and settings and preferences you configure.
Your data is used solely to provide the Service to you. This includes displaying your records, generating reports and invoices, and sending transactional emails such as account confirmation and trial reminders. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Your data is stored in a MongoDB database hosted on our infrastructure. We take reasonable technical measures to secure your data including encrypted connections and hashed passwords.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are used. The session cookie is HTTP-only and secure in production.
We may send you transactional emails related to your account (welcome, trial expiry reminders, invoices). You can opt out of digest emails from within app settings. We do not send unsolicited marketing email.
If you submit your email to register interest before the app is publicly available, we store your email address only to send you an invitation when a spot opens. You can request removal at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can export all your data from within the app, or delete your account entirely. To request removal of your interest registration email, contact us via the homepage.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts have their associated data removed within 30 days.
We may use third-party services for payment processing (Stripe) and email delivery. These services have their own privacy policies and handle only the data necessary for their function.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
